Ulrich Thomsen
Biography
Ulrich Thomsen is a Danish actor who made his film debut in 1994 in Ole Bornedal's Nightwatch and broke through internationally as Christian in the 1998 film Festen, also known as The Celebration. He went on to appear in Thomas Vinterberg's The Biggest Heroes (1996) and Anders Thomas Jensen's Flickering Lights (2000), and played the henchman Sasha Davidov in the Bond film The World Is Not Enough (1999). That work established him outside Denmark, and he took further English-language parts, among them the lead villain Jonas Skarssen in Tom Tykwer's The International (2009). From 2013 to 2016 he was a series regular on Banshee, playing the antagonist Kai Proctor, and in 2026 he began playing the DC Comics character Sinestro in the series Lanterns.
