Plot summary
The International Bank of Business and Credit is a merchant bank based in Luxembourg. It launders money, trades arms and helps destabilize governments, and it counts criminal organizations and corrupt states among its clients. Its managers have people who threaten it killed, including their own employees. Louis Salinger, an Interpol detective, and Eleanor Whitman, a Manhattan assistant district attorney, are assigned to investigate the bank. Salinger and his partner arrange to meet an informer from the bank at the Central Station in Berlin.
