Mostly Martha (2001) on Netflix

Plot summary

Cooking is the only thing Martha Klein cares about, and she runs the kitchen at Lido, a restaurant in Hamburg. She clashes with diners, and the owner, Frida, makes her see a therapist. When her sister dies in a car crash, Martha takes in Lina, her eight-year-old niece, who will not eat. Lina's Italian father has been gone for years. Frida also hires Mario as a sous-chef, and his banter and music unsettle Martha's kitchen.
