Biography

Tony Amendola is an American actor who was born in New Haven, Connecticut, in 1951 and first took to the stage in college, after walking into an audition for The Tempest. He went on to earn a Master of Fine Arts degree and moved to Los Angeles in 1978 to work in film and television. He is best known for playing the Jaffa master Bra'tac in Stargate SG-1, Geppetto on Once Upon a Time, and the Liber8 leader Kagame on Continuum. His film roles include the priest Father Perez in Annabelle (2014), a part he returned to in The Curse of La Llorona (2019), a Spanish magistrate in The Mask of Zorro (1998) and its 2005 sequel, and a Mexican marijuana farmer in Blow (2001). He also voiced Khadgar in World of Warcraft and spent his early years largely in the theater.
