Plot summary
Exiled to Earth as a penalty for his killings, an alien is fitted with a genetically altered body that lets him move among people. The alteration does not hold. Every few hours his body starts to slide back to its original shape and his head bursts, so he has to take a replacement from someone nearby. A crab-like claw pulls the head free, and he skewers it onto his own neck. Detectives Diana Pierce and Charles Krieger catch the case, and the only detail they have to work with is the same at every scene: the victim has been found without a head, and the head is gone.

- The Borrower was financed and produced from 1987 to December 1988 by Atlantic Entertainment Group, but the company went out of business just two weeks before the film was finished.
