Plot summary
On Treasure Day in the Great Valley, Littlefoot expects the yearly visit of his father Bron, who travels with his own herd. A Nothronychus named Wild Arms arrives with news that Bron is stranded at the Fire Mountain and that the herd has gone on without him, and Wild Arms refuses to help. Worried, Littlefoot sets out alone to find his father, and Cera, Ducky, Petrie, and Spike catch up with him. The young dinosaurs choose to cross the earth divide rather than take the longer route through Long Valley, and they knock down a tree to get across. Two close encounters with Yutyrannus follow before night falls and the children settle down to sleep.
