Perry Benson

Biography

Perry Benson is a British character actor known for television sitcoms and British films. Born in London, he took a lead part in the 1984 made-for-TV play Stars of the Roller State Disco by Alan Clarke, and early film work included Quadrophenia (1979) and Scum (1979). In 1986 he played the Sex Pistols drummer Paul Cook in Sid & Nancy. His best known television work came in the sitcoms You Rang, M'Lord? (1988 to 1993), Oh, Doctor Beeching! (1995 to 1997) and Operation Good Guys (1997 to 2000), and he later appeared as Clive Dyke in Benidorm from 2014 to 2015. His films include Love, Honour and Obey (2000), Alien Autopsy (2006), This Is England (2006), Somers Town (2008), Mum & Dad (2008), Vinyl (2012), Get Santa (2014), Accident Man (2018) and Accident Man: Hitman's Holiday (2022).
