Plot summary
Jonny works as a courier in London and is tired of it. He asks Jude, a friend from his school days, to introduce him to the criminal gang Jude's uncle Ray Kreed runs in North London. Jude is uneasy about mixing friendship with family business, but he arranges a meeting. Ray takes Jonny on, and Jonny's courier round becomes a way to collect credit cards for the gang. The work disappoints him: Ray's people spend their time joking and preparing for Ray's wedding rather than causing trouble. Jonny throws himself into the image of the criminal life and keeps making mistakes, and a mutual dislike grows between him and Matthew, a gangster from the South London firm run by Sean. Jonny keeps looking for a fight.
