Nick Brimble

Nick Brimble is an English actor from Bristol whose long career has taken in theater, television, film, and voice work. In 1968 he became a youth theater organizer at a theater in Canterbury, running a theater-in-education company that toured plays to Kent schools while also acting with the main company. He helped form Actors' Circus in 1970. His television work began in 1973 with Wessex Tales, and he was a semi-regular on The Sweeney plus guest roles in many series. Early films included Sweeney! (1977) and Sheena (1984). Roger Corman gave him the monster role in Frankenstein Unbound (1990), and he played Little John in Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves (1991). He is also known for Horst in Crossbow and Jack Chapman in Grantchester, and his later films include A Knight's Tale (2001), Loch Ness (1996), and Gone Fishin' (1997). He voiced John Watson in Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments and Leontius in Ryse: Son of Rome.
