Lysette Anthony

Biography

Born in Marylebone, London, Lysette Anthony works as an English actress and model, having started in modeling before turning to acting. In 1980 photographer David Bailey called her the Face of the Eighties, and she went on to appear in music videos for Bryan Adams and Depeche Mode. Her early screen roles include Lady Rowena in Ivanhoe (1982) and Princess Lyssa in the fantasy epic Krull (1983), and she later acted in Husbands and Wives (1992). On television, she was in the first series of Auf Wiedersehen, Pet and had a four-year run on the BBC sitcom Three Up, Two Down. She played Marnie Nightingale in Hollyoaks from 2016 to 2022 and Angelique Bouchard in Dark Shadows. Her stage work includes The New Statesman, Present Laughter, and Dead Funny, while her audio credits include a Doctor Who adventure, Assassin in the Limelight.

Anthony first took to the stage at the Cambridge Theatre when she was 10. She later performed with the National Youth Theatre.
