Linnea Quigley
Biography
Linnea Quigley is an American actress and singer who became known as a scream queen through her many low-budget horror films. Born in Davenport, Iowa, in 1958, she moved to Los Angeles after high school, took acting and guitar classes, and landed her first part in the Charles Band-produced Fairy Tales (1978). Her first bigger role came in the slasher Graduation Day (1981), followed by Savage Streets (1984) and Silent Night, Deadly Night (1984). She is best known for The Return of the Living Dead (1985), in which she played a teenage punk whose graveyard striptease is among her most notable roles and helped earn her scream queen status. She worked often with directors David DeCoteau, on Creepozoids (1987), and Kevin Tenney, on Night of the Demons (1988) and Witchtrap (1989). Quigley also fronted the all-female band The Skirts and wrote books about her B-movie career.
