Biography

Linda Blair is an American actress who began with a regular role on the daytime soap opera Hidden Faces and first appeared on film in The Way We Live Now. Selected from 600 applicants, she played Regan MacNeil in The Exorcist (1973), winning a Golden Globe and an Academy Award nomination, and reprised the part in Exorcist II: The Heretic (1977) and The Exorcist: Believer (2023). Her television films include Born Innocent (1974), Victory at Entebbe (1976) and Stranger in Our House (1978), while Roller Boogie (1979) and horror and exploitation features such as Hell Night (1981) and Savage Streets (1984) followed; that stretch brought five Razzie nominations and two Worst Actress wins. She later hosted the reality series Scariest Places on Earth and appeared in the documentary The Fear of God.
