Did you know?!

  1. A role that slipped away

Wolfhard was first cast as Richie Tozier in It when Cary Fukunaga was attached as director, but when Fukunaga left the project the role fell through, which let him pursue Stranger Things; he had to re-audition once Andy Muschietti took over.

  2. First role

In 2012, Wolfhard took his first acting job, appearing in a music video for the song "Retro Oceans." The track was by Facts, a band from Vancouver.

  3. Getting ready for a role

Crowley first wanted a real Russian actor to play Boris, not Wolfhard. Even so, Wolfhard won the part because his Russian accent in the audition was almost perfect.

  4. A first

Wolfhard's first time directing came at 17, with the comedy short Night Shifts. The film, from 2020, went up on YouTube a year later.

  5. Beyond film

Finn Wolfhard sang lead vocals and played rhythm guitar for Calpurnia, a rock band from Vancouver, and he also wrote songs for the group until it dissolved in November 2019.

  6. Big break

In 2016, Wolfhard started playing Mike Wheeler in the Netflix series Stranger Things. He got the part by auditioning on video after he saw an open casting call.
