Plot summary
A meteor is headed for Earth, and Liza has one day left. She walks through the emptied streets of Los Angeles, talking with her younger self, a metaphysical version of her childhood who has become visible to her. The two head for a party hosted by Liza's cousin Mandy. Along the way they cross paths with other people, several of whom are accompanied by younger selves of their own, now apparent because the approaching end has raised everyone's awareness. Liza also stops in on relatives and friends she wants to see. With her car stolen, she covers the distance on foot, trying to settle what she can with the people around her before the meteor arrives.
