Plot summary
After an angry mob breaks up their wedding, Gomez and Morticia Addams settle their family in an abandoned asylum on a hill in New Jersey, with Thing and Lurch. Thirteen years on, Gomez trains his son Pugsley for the Sabre Mazurka, the rite of passage every Addams undergoes, while Morticia tries to keep their daughter Wednesday from the world beyond the gates. That world arrives: Margaux Needler, who hosts a reality show, is building a planned community called Assimilation nearby, and the Addams refuse to change. Wednesday meets Margaux's daughter Parker and asks to attend junior high school. Grandmama comes to the house for the Mazurka.
