Biography

Donald Faison is an American actor and comedian who began performing as a teenager, with a 1989 Folgers coffee commercial among his first credits. Born in Harlem, New York City, he attended the Professional Children's School in Manhattan. His breakthrough came as Murray in Clueless (1995) and the television series that followed, and he appeared in Waiting to Exhale (1995), New Jersey Drive (1995) and Big Fat Liar (2002). He is best known for playing Dr. Chris Turk on Scrubs from 2001 to 2010, and he starred as Phil Chase on The Exes from 2011 to 2015. Other films include Remember the Titans (2000), Josie and the Pussycats (2001), Uptown Girls (2003), Something New (2006), Next Day Air (2009), Skyline (2010) and Kick-Ass 2 (2013). He provided the voice of Gary the Stormtrooper for Robot Chicken: Star Wars Episode II (2008) and Hype Fazon in Star Wars Resistance, hosted Winsanity, and co-hosts the podcast Fake Doctors, Real Friends.
