Plot summary
Savannah Jackson produces television in Phoenix and spends her free time with three friends who talk over their love lives. She is seeing Kenneth Dawkins, a married man she believes will one day choose her. Bernadine Harris gave up her career and her plan to open a catering business to raise two children and help her husband John build his company; after eleven years he tells her their marriage is over and he is taking up with a woman from work. Robin Stokes, an executive, is the mistress of a married man named Russell. Gloria Matthews runs a beauty salon and is raising her teenage son Tarik, whose father David tells her he is gay. Savannah's mother would rather see her with a man, preferably Kenneth.
