Plot summary
The seniors of Huntington Hills High celebrate graduation at a party in the house of a wealthy classmate. Preston Meyers, an outsider, has carried a secret love for Amanda Beckett since his first day of high school and intends to hand her a letter he has rewritten many times. Amanda, the prom queen, has just been dumped by the jock Mike Dexter and is wondering who she is apart from being his girlfriend. William Lichter, who has endured years of bullying from Mike, has his own plan for the night. Kenny Fisher, a would-be thug, hopes to lose his virginity, and Preston's friend Denise Fleming stays out of the party crowd.
