Did you know?!Facts and trivia about Let's Kill Ward's Wife (2014)
Can contain spoilers, watch the movie first.
- To keep the budget down, the actors in Let's Kill Ward's Wife were paid the Screen Actors Guild minimum of $100 a day, and several cast members invested their pay back into the film.
- Let's Kill Ward's Wife was shot in 12 days on a budget so small that the crew had only "a camera and a tripod", with no dollies or cranes. The camera stays static throughout, so director Scott Foley and cinematographer Eduardo Barraza built movement into the shots to keep viewers from getting bored.
- Carpinello, Amy Acker's husband, helped direct the sex scene between Acker's and Foley's characters in Let's Kill Ward's Wife.
- Foley had not planned to act in his own directorial debut, but the crew could not find anyone they thought suited the role of Tom better than he did, so Foley took the part himself.
- Foley wrote the script after his first child was born, deciding that spouses were the main reason long-time friends grow apart. He first intended it to be "very heartwarming", then had the idea of friends planning to kill one of their wives.
