Route 666 (2001) on Netflix

Plot summary

Fred "Rabbit" Smith, a mob informer hidden by the Witness Protection Program, slips away to the Arizona desert, and federal marshals Jack La Roca and Stephanie catch up with him before the hitmen hunting him can. The marshals must take him to Los Angeles, where he is to testify against Benny "The Buzzsaw" Buffalino. A second car of marshals, Nick, Mary, P.T. and Joe, helps get him clear of the gunmen. Looking for a faster route to the California border, Jack hears about U.S. Route 666, a condemned highway beside Route 66, closed after a prison road crew died there. A deputy, Gil, pulls the convoy over and says the road is restricted. The marshals drive onto Route 666 anyway.
