Plot summary
Vernon pawns his shotgun at a small-town shop and meets Raw Dog, who wants a weapon so the two can rob Stanley, the local drug dealer. Randy runs Vernon down with his truck, convinced Vernon took money from him. In the shop, Alton watches Richard try to pawn his fiancée Sandy's wedding ring, and Richard spots the ring of Cyndi, the wife he says was kidnapped a year earlier. He presses Alton for where it came from. Elsewhere, Ricky, an Elvis impersonator booked at the fair, has been left by his girlfriend and sells his gold Elvis medallion to Alton for gas money.
