Big break
Lefevre played the renegade vampire Victoria in Twilight (2008), based on Stephenie Meyer's novel. She wrote the director a passionate letter explaining that she wanted to work with the filmmaker.
First role
While waitressing at a sushi bar in Westmount, Lefevre was overheard by a Canadian television producer telling the hostess she wanted to be an actress, and he got her first audition, for Student Bodies.
A role that slipped away
Lefevre was replaced by Bryce Dallas Howard as Victoria in Eclipse after signing on to Barney's Version, which began filming the same day as Eclipse.
Getting ready for a role
After reading the author describe her character's agility as feline, Lefevre watched lion attacks on YouTube so her character's movements would differ from normal people's. She took trapeze classes to get ready for the wire work.
