Plot summary
Paddington lives with the Brown family at 32 Windsor Gardens, where everyone has grown busy. Judy applies to university, Jonathan stays in his room, Mrs. Brown works on an art project, Mrs. Bird has a long to-do list, and Mr. Brown faces a new boss who urges him to take risks. Word reaches the family from the Home for Retired Bears in Peru that Aunt Lucy is acting strangely and misses Paddington, so the Browns travel with him to visit her. The Reverend Mother tells them Lucy has vanished into the Amazon rainforest and that her glasses and a bracelet were left behind. A map in Lucy's cabin marks Rumi Rock, and Paddington sets out to search for her. Needing a boat for the river, the family meets Hunter Cabot, a riverboat captain, and his daughter Gina.

- Two engineers took half of a Paddington statue back to their base in a taxi, posted it on Facebook Marketplace and hid it in a car, where police found it. At their trial the judge called their actions "the antithesis of everything Paddington stands for", and they were ordered to do unpaid work and pay £2,725 each for repairs.
- Rachel Zegler left for the United States to join picketing during the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike and was unable to commit, so Carla Tous took over the role of Gina Cabot.
