Plot summary
The film carries two stories fourteen hundred years apart. In a country at war with ISIS, an Iraqi child named Laith loses his mother and is taken into a new home. An elderly woman there tells him about Fatima, the Prophet's daughter, and gives the Shia account of her life in the early Muslim period, from her marriage to Ali through the battle of Uhud and the gathering at Ghadir Khumm. She describes Fatima as the first victim of terror and connects her suffering to the centuries that followed. Fatima's face is never shown, while Muhammad and Ali appear on screen. Through her telling, the child learns about patience.
