Plot summary
Mark Newton is one of the newer, less experienced members of a London club where gay men play rugby. At an away fixture he and Warren Hunt, a star of the club's A team, have a drunken encounter and slip into an affair. Neither man is free. Warren is with John, a fellow player on the A team, and stays out of loyalty for the help John gave him during a hard time in his life. Mark's boyfriend, Richard, allows an open relationship provided Mark tells him about it and keeps it to a one-time occurrence, and Richard travels for work. Mark's attempts to hide the affair strain his friendships with his teammates.
