Plot summary
Leslie Wright works as a physical therapist and follows basketball closely. She wants a boyfriend, but the men she dates treat her as a friend. Her godsister Morgan Alexander lives with her and hopes to become an NBA trophy wife. After a Nets game, Leslie helps the team's star, Scott McKnight, at a gas station, and they talk about basketball and jazz. He invites her to his birthday party, and she brings Morgan, who sets her sights on him. Morgan tells him she volunteers at a homeless shelter and has no interest in Scott, so he tracks her down. Three months of dating later, he proposes, and Leslie has doubts but is happy for Morgan. At the All-Star Game, Scott tears a ligament in his knee, and Morgan asks Leslie to take over as his physical therapist.
