Plot summary

Destiny is the captain of The Rebels, an American cheer squad with many world championships. She is overconfident and often ignores input from her teammates, including her best friend, Willow. She respects Cheer Goddess, a retired five-time champion who now hosts a popular podcast. At a local tournament, the squad's routine is interrupted when a masked squad called The Truth hacks the audio and visual feed and threatens to dethrone them. Public opinion turns against The Rebels, they lose members, and squads elsewhere grow bolder.
