Plot summary
John Wick kills High Table lord Santino D'Antonio inside the New York Continental, and the ruling body declares him excommunicado. A $14 million bounty brings assassins after him, and with minutes left before the order takes effect he moves through Manhattan. A hitman named Ernest corners him in the New York Public Library, where John finds a marker medallion, a rosary and a picture of himself with his wife. Wounded, he reaches a doctor, who begins stitching him before the grace period ends. John then asks The Director of the Ruska Roma, the syndicate that raised him, for safe passage out of the city.

- Hiroyuki Sanada was in talks to play Zero, the assassin sent after John Wick, but he tore an Achilles tendon and the part went to Mark Dacascos instead.
