Trailer

Plot summary

During Mardi Gras in New Orleans, Ben and his best friend Marcus find a swamp tour closed because its guide was sued, and board a boat run by Shawn, an inexperienced guide. With Jim and Shannon Permatteo, a Minnesota couple, models Misty and Jenna, their agent Shapiro and Marybeth, they head into the bayou. A hermit, Jack Cracker, warns them to leave, and nobody listens. The boat sinks, and an alligator bites Jim as they abandon it. Marybeth recognizes a shack as the old Crowley house and recounts how Victor Crowley, a deformed man, died when his father Thomas hit him in the head with a hatchet by accident while pulling him out of a burning house. She says Victor's spirit wanders the bayou and kills anyone who comes near, but the others call it an urban legend.
