Biography

Mercedes McNab is a retired Canadian actress whose first notable role came in 1991, playing a Girl Scout in The Addams Family and then the snobby camper Amanda Buckman in the sequel Addams Family Values (1993). In 1997 she was cast in a recurring part on Buffy the Vampire Slayer as Harmony Kendall, a popular student who turns into a vampire; she had first read for the title role, which went to Sarah Michelle Gellar, and appeared in sixteen episodes across four years. She later reprised Harmony on the spinoff Angel, moving from guest spots to series regular. Guest roles on Psych and Supernatural followed, along with a lead in the slasher film Hatchet (2006) and a brief return in Hatchet II (2010), plus direct-to-DVD horror such as Dark Reel and the TV movie Vipers. She retired from acting in 2011.
