Plot summary
Ely Braxton is a rising bull rider recovering from injuries that nearly killed him. His mother Rose and his girlfriend Connie oppose his return to the sport, but Ely wants to become a champion like his estranged father, Reid Braxton. Ely's older brother, Hank, once rode bulls and now works as a bullfighter and stock contractor. The brothers train together and work on the family ranch in Santa Maria, California. As Ely's career grows, he begins a relationship with Celia Jones, a barrel racer who is also Hank's love interest. Hank grows angry and jealous, and the brothers become estranged.
