Plot summary
Charlie Chan is a detective. A friend of his, a prominent racehorse owner, is found dead on a liner bound for Honolulu, and the death is blamed on his own prized stallion, said to have kicked him. Chan is called in to investigate. He discovers evidence of foul play, and the case puts him on the trail of an international gambling ring with a plot that concerns the racetracks of the world. Chan leaves the false trails to his son, Lee Chan.
