Plot summary
Charlie Hawkins owns Speedee Taxis, and the business keeps him behind the wheel long after the working day ends. His wife Peggy sees little of him, and when he misses their fifteenth wedding anniversary after promising her a night out, she decides to get even. The company's funds sit in her name for tax reasons, so she takes the money and starts GlamCabs, a rival firm with new cars driven by attractive young women in provocative uniforms. Flo, who is married to one of Charlie's drivers, becomes office manager. Charlie tells Peggy he isn't interested in her new job, though he wants to know where she spends her days, and Speedee's takings slide as passengers choose the new cabs.
