Plot summary
Roy is a rodeo star who rides back into his home town with his horse Trigger and learns that Tom Craig, an old friend, has been murdered. Craig stood accused of taking a jeweled family crest from Helen Williams's father, and Helen, a singer newly hired at the Trading Post club, has arrived in town to ask him about it. Roy offers his help to Gabby Whittaker, the acting sheriff, and Helen joins the two of them in trying to find the crest and the person who killed Craig. Arthur Courtney's men report that Craig is dead and that the crest is still missing, and he tells them to deal with Roy and Helen.
