Joseph Ruskin

Joseph Ruskin was an American character actor who trained in drama at Carnegie Mellon University and started out at the Pittsburgh Playhouse. Born in Haverhill, Massachusetts, he became best known for television and film work but kept appearing on stage. He had roles in episodes of The Outer Limits, The Time Tunnel, Mission: Impossible, and The Twilight Zone, where he voiced the Kanamits. In Star Trek, he played Galt in the original series, then Tumek and a Cardassian informant on Deep Space Nine, a Vulcan master on Voyager, and a Son'a officer in Star Trek: Insurrection. His film work ranged from The Magnificent Seven (1960) to Smokin' Aces (2006), with Prizzi's Honor (1985) and Indecent Proposal (1993) in between. He served on the Screen Actors Guild board from 1976 to 1999 and received the Ralph Morgan Award in 2011.
