Plot summary
Suki has dissociative identity disorder, and she has reached the point where she no longer needs to stay in a hospital, so she moves into Juniper Tower, a dark gothic apartment block that houses mental patients who are not fully cured. She brings an experimental machine, the Siamese Burn, and uses it on herself to burn away her extra personalities until only one is left. At the tower she reconnects with Hogan, a tenant she has been involved with before, and meets the other women who live there. Then the residents begin to die, each death taken for a suicide, and Suki is left asking whether the last personality remaining will be her own.
