Plot summary
Tommy Covington is shooting a documentary for Dan when the wedding of Dan and Skylar turns into a scene of mass death: guests collapse where they stand, their eyes turned white, and outside the building the streets are chaos, with aircraft plunging down and exploding. An ear-splitting trumpet-like sound follows, then thunder and lightning. Skylar says these are the events of the Bible's Rapture, the believers taken and the rest left behind. Tommy argues for a scientific cause. Giant hail drives the group to a library, where the teenager Sam joins Dan, Skylar, Jack and Tommy, and then to a church. Pastor Shay lets them in and tells them the world is living through end-times prophecy.
