Plot summary
Brady Hawkes earns his living at cards. A new law is about to make gambling illegal, which would end that way of life. In its honor, one final poker game is being organized, and the entry fee is one hundred thousand dollars. Burgundy Jones, a madame, and four other madames are willing to finance Brady's place at the table. Their condition is that he first outplay four rival gamblers. Brady, Burgundy and his old friend Ethan Cassidy then plan to travel to San Francisco, where the game will be held. The game is said to be the biggest in poker history.
