Jere Burns
Biography
Jere Burns is an American actor who has worked in theater and television. Born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, he came to acting late in college, and after finishing his studies at the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 1980 he settled in Manhattan and won a part in Don Juan, staged by the New York Shakespeare Festival. On Broadway he appeared in Hairspray and in After the Night and the Music, and he made his television debut in 1984 on an ABC Afterschool Special. He became known for playing men of dubious character, among them the sleazy Kirk Morris on Dear John, the villainous Cade Dalton in the miniseries The Gambler Returns: The Luck of the Draw (1991), and Wynn Duffy, a Dixie Mafia lieutenant, on Justified. His films include Greedy (1994), Life-Size (2000), Crocodile Dundee in Los Angeles (2001) and Otis (2008). He also played Anson Fullerton on Burn Notice and appeared on Bates Motel and Breaking Bad.
