Can contain spoilers, watch the movie first.
- Peter Davison's original idea for the film was a video of about five minutes in which the classic Doctors tried to get a part in the anniversary special, and after he offered Steven Moffat an acting role at a party, Moffat gave him BBC funding and a camera crew.
- Tom Baker failed to answer Peter Davison's emails, so his absence from the film is explained with a Doctor Who clip from the unaired story Shada showing the Fourth Doctor trapped in the time vortex; impressionist Jon Culshaw performed Baker's voicemail.
