Colin Baker
Biography
Colin Baker is an English actor who studied law before training as an actor. Raised in Rochdale, he had supporting parts in historical dramas including The Roads to Freedom, Cousin Bette, War and Peace and Fall of Eagles. His part as the ruthless banker Paul Merroney in The Brothers made him famous but led to villainous typecasting, and he played Bayban the Butcher in Blake's 7. After appearing as Commander Maxil in Arc of Infinity, he was chosen to lead Doctor Who as its sixth Doctor, a run from 1984 to 1986 that ended after two seasons. He later reprised the role in stage and audio productions, and his screen credits include The Five(ish) Doctors Reboot (2013) and A Dozen Summers (2015).
