Plot summary
Mack and Brady surf in Waikiki near her grandfather's beach hut. At the hut, her grandfather and Brady watch Wet Side Story, a 1960s musical in which surfers and motorcyclists fight over the right to gather at Big Momma's restaurant by the water. Mack's aunt tells Brady that Mack will start at a private school the next day. Mack says they have to break up. Before she leaves, Mack surfs an approaching 40-foot wave and Brady follows her on a jet ski. Both are swept away and come ashore on another beach, inside the world of Wet Side Story.
