Plot summary
Mystery Inc. looks into a string of thefts blamed on the ghost of Puppetto the Puppeteer and his puppet. Batman arrives, Fred catches the pair, and the gang identifies them as Martian Manhunter and Detective Chimp. Batman explains that the whole case was a tryout for the Mystery Analysts of Gotham City, and the group agrees to join. A red-cloaked figure observes them without their knowledge.
