Paul Brooke
Biography
Paul Brooke is an English actor who came to film through the stage, having spent several years with Frank Dunlop's original Young Vic Company in a string of London productions. His screen debut came in the Hammer film Straight On Till Morning (1972), and his later films included Return of the Jedi (1983), where he played Malakili the Rancor Keeper, Scandal (1989), Saving Grace (2000), Bridget Jones's Diary (2001) as Mr. Fitzherbert, The Phantom of the Opera (2004), Alfie and Oliver Twist. On television he appeared in All Creatures Great and Small, Blackadder, Foyle's War, Midsomer Murders, Hustle and Sharpe's Revenge, and in the 1997 miniseries Nostromo. He played Gríma Wormtongue in a 1981 BBC radio dramatization of The Lord of the Rings, and he is one of three actors to have appeared in both runs of Minder, in different roles.
