Ken Lynch

Biography

Ken Lynch was an American actor who worked in radio, film and television across more than 180 credits, and who was usually cast as law enforcement officers and detectives. He began on radio, playing the Gargoyle on The Bishop and the Gargoyle in 1940 and voicing Tank Tanker on Hop Harrigan from 1942 to 1946, and he starred from 1949 to 1954 as the never-seen lieutenant on the DuMont series The Plainclothesman. Guest work followed on Perry Mason, The Twilight Zone, Gunsmoke and Star Trek, and from 1972 to 1977 he played Sergeant Grover in 16 appearances on McCloud. His films included I Married a Monster from Outer Space (1958), North by Northwest (1959) and Anatomy of a Murder (1959). His final credited role came in the 1983 miniseries The Winds of War. He died in 1990.
