Joe Lo Truglio
Biography
Joe Lo Truglio is an American actor and comedian who grew up in Margate, Florida, after being born in Ozone Park, Queens, and met several future castmates of The State while studying at New York University. He wrote and acted in skits for that sketch series, which ended in 1995, then made guest appearances on television throughout the late 1990s. His film work includes Wet Hot American Summer (2001), Beer League (2006), Superbad (2007), Pineapple Express (2008), Role Models (2008), Paul (2011) and Wanderlust (2012), and he has voiced characters for video games such as The Warriors and Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories. On television he appeared on Party Down, Sons of Tucson and Free Agents before taking the role of Charles Boyle on Brooklyn Nine-Nine in 2013, and he later reprised his Wet Hot American Summer part in the Netflix prequel series. In 2022 he directed his first feature, the horror film Outpost.
