Jenny Agutter

Jenny Agutter is an English actress whose career began in 1964, when she was a child, with parts in East of Sudan, Star! and adaptations of The Railway Children for the BBC and the cinema. She won an Emmy for the television film The Snow Goose and starred in Walkabout (1971). From Hollywood came Logan's Run (1976) and Child's Play 2 (1990), plus An American Werewolf in London (1981). British films of those years included The Eagle Has Landed (1976) and Equus (1977), which brought a supporting actress BAFTA, while The Survivor (1981) earned an AACTA nomination. She went back to Britain in the early 1990s and worked mainly in television, playing the mother in a 2000 version of The Railway Children and Sister Julienne in Call the Midwife from 2012. Her later films include Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014) and The Railway Children Return (2022), and she has appeared in numerous stage productions.
