Plot summary
David Ballard is an American businessman who is short of money. His wife, Dominique, is a wealthy Englishwoman. He forms a plan to use psychological pressure to make her take her own life, so that he can inherit her family's estate and assets. The plan appears to succeed after Dominique is found dead in the greenhouse. David then believes that Dominique's ghost is haunting him.
