Trailer

Plot summary

The Play Pals Corporation acquires the remains of Chucky, the Good Guy doll, and reassembles him to reassure stockholders that nothing was wrong with the doll. A power surge during the reassembly brings the doll back to life. Andy Barclay, now eight, has been in foster care since his mother, Karen, was institutionalized for insisting the doll was alive. Foster parents Phil and Joanne Simpson take him in, with Phil apprehensive about Andy's needs, and Kyle, a teenage girl they are also fostering, lives there too. Chucky telephones Grace Poole, who manages the foster center, to get the Simpsons' address.
