Edi Gathegi

Edi Gathegi is a Kenyan-American actor who was born in Nairobi and grew up in Albany, California. He attended the University of California, Santa Barbara and later studied at New York University's Graduate Acting Program, graduating in 2005. His career began in theater, with credits including Two Trains Running, Othello, and Cyrano de Bergerac. His first professional screen role was the Haitian Cabbie in Crank (2006), and he went on to appear in Gone Baby Gone (2007) as Cheese, Death Sentence (2007), and as the vampire Laurent in Twilight (2008). On television he played Dr. Jeffrey Cole on House and Matias Solomon on The Blacklist, reprising that role for The Blacklist: Redemption. He also had roles in Into the Badlands, StartUp, and, since 2022, For All Mankind as Dev Ayesa. He played Darwin in X-Men: First Class (2011) and Mister Terrific in Superman (2025).
